Description
If you are not looking for a perfect restoration vehicle, don't look at this one. Extremely rare Toyota Land Cruiser factory soft top fj40 model. Only the soft top fj40 has the fold down one piece tail gate, rings mounted in dash for the door straps to connect to, dome light mounted on dash next to glove box rather than on hard top. The body on this 1965 Land Cruiser is near perfect with only a little rust under tail gate and a single dent in drivers side rear quarter panel. .Factory column shifter is retained on column if buyer chooses to restore vehicle to factory specs. Rear fenders have not been cut like so many of the cruisers have. Front fenders and floorboards are perfect and rust free. Rear bed is flawless. Classic Cruisers in Colorado have the hard to find door straps to complete this completely original and unmolested rare vehicle (888-376-2420). Steel Cruiser Parts have the frame bows for the soft top (847-224-3408). Specter Off Road has the actual soft top (818-882-1238). The motor runs and idles well, but it needs to be gone through. A hum occurs when you accelerate that makes me think perhaps a piston is slapping. It does not knock.
It is hard to find such a rare Cruiser in this good of shape. This perfect restoration candidate promises to be a good investment as the factory soft top rigs are so rare. Perfect father/son project or investment restoration for a collector. Any question please free to call me at 661-665-9603.
