We are Proud topresent this 1979 Land Cruiser (FJ40). With a productiondate of "May of 1979" and in a beautiful Rustic Green color. Prior torestoration this FJ40 was in a good condition with all the originalBooks and Service records, Registrations, and State Inspections toconfirm the history and authenticity of this vehicle.
As the current owners of this vehicle, we only wanted the best and "Better than New FJ40" So, one of the most comprehensive restorations that it could be done while maintaining this FJ40 asoriginal as possible. We made sure that every detail hasbeen meticulously cared for which was performed by a Veteran MasterTechnician in the Automotive business.
Since this vehicle was completely stockprior to restoration we tried to keep this vehicle as stock aspossible through the restoration process, andonly installed New OEM parts and hardware purchasedfrom a local Toyota Dealer when they were still available. Wealso purchased some OEMand Aftermarket parts from reputable Land Cruiser part stores whenthey were no longer available from an authorized ToyotaDealer. Aftermarket parts were selected to be installed where we couldsee, in our opinion, that it will improve the vehicle or the OEM partwas no longer available. Where ever we used Non-OEM partswe let you know by stating (Aftermarket). We spent in excessof thousand hours in restoring this vehicle on mechanical, paint joband over an inch thick in receipts to bring this FJ40 to amuseum quality as it is today.
The Stock Motoris in a very healthy and strong condition. Thus, we did not see theneed to take this engine apart. However we did reseal the engine withall new parts, including valve cover gasket, intake and exhaust gaskets,side gaskets front and rear Crack Shaft Seals, etc. etc.
All new ignition wires, distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter and more..
All SMOG equipment are intact and in working condition to pass the California Smog Check testing with flying colors.
Allnew clutch assembly including pressure plate, bearing, fork, salvecylinder and hose, even a new inspection rubber cover were allreplaced.
Frontand Rear Axles were re-sealed and Lucas Oil 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Oil was used.
*The Vehicle was Media blasted to bare metal.
*The Frame, Heat Shields, Brackets and many other partswere Powder Coated Black with UV protection Coating for longlasting performance.
*Axles and Drive Lines were stripped down to the baremetal and painted with Rust Bullet Paint.
*LineX wasColor Matched to Rustic Green and sprayed on the Body Tub(topandbottom), Front Fenders (bottom), Side and Rear Steps (top and bottom),and Spare Tire Carrier(excludinghinges) were all coveredwith LineX, which is one of the most durable and toughest material in the market today.
*Paint: 4 coats of rich Single Stage "R-M Uno" wassprayed on every individual part, color coded to original factory621 (Rustic Green).Fiberglass top and Front Grill were colormatched tooriginal off-white.

Afterthe completion of this extensive restoration we have put about 600miles and enjoy driving our FJ40 whenever we get a chance.

*Due to sound dampeningcharacteristics ofLine-X, All New Seals and Weather striping , Sound Dampening in the doors, Extra sound dampening Pad underthe main floor mats, and Old Man Emu Suspension this FJ40 is quit and it is an absolute pleasure to drive.
*You must get used to lots of attention from people who admire Land Cruisers and answering their questions.
