This is a base model, left-hand-drive, diesel, Toyota Land Cruiser, imported from Nicaragua. It has the rare split rear doors, rare front 40/60 bench seat and split folding rear seating. It has virtually no rust, solid frame and all systems work as they should.
This is a solid diesel Land Cruiser. The body and chassis have 318,142 miles (512,000KMs). The engine has about 87,000 miles on it since it was rebuilt. The drivetrain, including axles, transmission and transfer case have all been rebuilt in the last 3,600 miles. The following is a list of recent work/specs:
- 1986 BJ60LV-KC
- 4 Cylinder 3B Diesel with 87,000 miles on rebuild
- 4 Speed Transmission
- Push Button 4 High with Hi/Lo Transfer case with all new seals
- Rebuilt axles/birfs
- New Clutch installed within last 300 miles: OEM clutch kit including clutch disk, pressure plate and release hub bearing
- New Rear Main Seal
- New Battery
- New brown dash cap
Surprisingly, for it's weight, I still have achieved 26mpg on a trip traveling 50-55mph. This is currently my daily driver and it's legally registered and insured in Portland, Maine. This is ready to drive as is or would be a perfect restoration candidate. You will not find another BJ60 with literally no rust issues and these rare features in the near future.
