Description
For sale is my 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser HJ60 turbo diesel
She is equipped with the following:
Factory drivetrain, comprising
2H 4.0 litre inline 6 Diesel engine with AIT turbo kit, consisting of a custom exhaust manifold, externally wastegated Garrett turbo, Donaldson airbox, auxiliary oil cooler etc. Fitted by Ray Hall Turbo in 1995. Engine runs like a top, has no blow-by, uses no oil etc and pulls like a train. Vehicle has only travelled 252,100 ks, and these engines are known to run into the 500,000 to 600,000 kilometre range without a rebuild
A440 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission; has a shift kit installed, giving a better quality shift. Shifts so well you can't feel the shift. With the shift kit, the auto is much better than a manual and has a taller overdrive.
Dual range transfer case, with push button 4wd activation (low range with a lever)
Also has the following additions
3 inch exhaust from the turbo back. Has a nice growl but is not obnoxiously loud
2 inch lift kit with Gabriel shocks
200 litre long range fuel tank
Dual batteries
Alloy bull bar
Lightforce 240 Blitz driving lights
heavy duty steel roof rack
Tow bar
electric trailer brake controller
UHF and whippy
Rear spotlight, great for camping etc.
Pioneer stereo
Factory chrome rim with as new tyre (spare)
4 15x8 Sunraysia rims; rear tyres have excellent tread, front tyres have a couple of mm left only
window tint
I also have the following for the vehicle (not fitted and all brand new) to be included for buy it now price or by negotiation:
Delonix 75 watt HID conversion kit for the spotties
6 new glow plugs
4+plus products u-bolt flip kit, tucks up the u-bolt ends above the axle to increase ground clearance, imported from the USA
The vehicle has a couple of minor issues
Oil weep from the top of the steering box and the front diff pinion; no oil left on the ground ever
What seems like a poor rust repair from the previous owner at the passenger side rear of the vehicle in the roof gutter - common rust area in these vehicles. I have ground back any rust present and treated with rust converter before re-coating with primer-surfacer and the factory night blue metallic colour to stop further damage, but ideally it should be stripped right back and repaired thoroughly
A few chips, scratches etc in the paint, typical for a 30 year old vehicle.
Carpet in the boot is average
I have the receipts since 2013, including:
15/7/13: turbo reconditioned, manifold milled, exhaust studs replaced etc.
17/1/14: A/C regassed
19/3/14: Radiator stripped down and clean, new genuine thermostat, gaskets, hoses and radiator cap
16/10/14: New main battery, new alternator, oil hoses, clamps etc
5/5/15: Automatic transmission fluid flush and service; due next at 281,000
Serviced every 5000 ks, last serviced 4/3/15 with Penrite 15W50 and Sakura and Wix Filters; due on 4/9/15 or 255,000
Regretful sale, but selling due to an upgrade to a newer model.
Make an offer; looking for a quick sale.
Inspections welcome
Time wasters/test pilots need not apply
Whilst every effort has been made to describe the vehicle's condition honestly, it is sold as-is with no guarantees expressed or implied
Is advertised elsewhere.
