Description
HI, This is an auction for my MR2 project car. This is a standard looking MR2, but with the addition of an Audi 4.2 lt. V8 engine from an S8, (which is the AHC code), I built the car 3 years ago and never got it quite finished due to the addition of family member and building my own house !
Even less time now, so its better to let some one take it on, finally finish it and enjoy the power. A full build diary can be seen at face="Verdana">
The car is a 2001 MR2, with black leather interior, Ive ripped out the old engine and box and fitted the the engine along with custom flywheel and Audi 01X 6 speed gearbox from a diesel A6, this matched the torque outputs quite nicely. The engine is controlled via a DTA S80 ems , more info on that can be found here, but it has features such as twin edu maps, traction control, etc etc.
The engine exhausts into a Ferrari F360 exhaust system.
As I say the car was never quite finished, engine was running and had drive through the gearbox, but was never mapped, so I would recommend a partial strip back for the new owner to understand the mechanics of the car and the wiring.
Any questions please ask, the car will need to be transported away, its currently on a sorn. It take about a year of work on and off at weekends and about £5,000 worth of components, tot make it where it is now.
