Description
Up for sale is my Toyota MR2 SW20 with Lexus 3VZ-FE V6 conversion.
I purchased the vehicle with NSW registration a year ago and only drove it a few times. Unfortunately with work commitments the car has been sitting in my shed gathering dust, and it has to go :(
Engine swap was completed by the previous owner who had receipts in excess of $5000 for the engine build. The car is super fast with a mountain of torque available at low rpm's. It was a personal import MR2 GT that was brought into the country in 2004. Odometer currently reads 75'692 km's.
The positives:
Engine was rebuilt by Duncan Foster Engine Reconditioners in 2012, approximately 10'000 km's ago (all bearings replaced, new head gaskets, seals, and the heads were both serviced). During the rebuild, the bottom end of the motor was also blue printed, including pressure plate, flywheel, crank, main pulley rods and pistons. Heads were ported and flowed from 150cfm to just over 300cfm, oversized pistons by 0.5.MR2 GT E153 LSD gearboxStock extractors, custom y-pipe made into uneven lengths to a collector, into a 3" catalytic converter and 5zigen dual tip exhaust. (sounds great)Staggered ENKEI RP01 wheels; 17x7.5 with 215/30/17 tyres on the front
18x8.5 with 245/45/18 tyres on the rear
Upgraded brakes front and rear using Delta V adapters. Braided brake lines and 1" brake master cylinderFront: 300ZX 4-piston calipers with 315mm Lexus LS400 slotted rotors
Rear: Late model MR2 Turbo calipers with 323mm Mazda RX8 rotors
KYB Gymkhana Coilovers ($2200 when new)Cusco front and rear strut bracesAn assortment of gauges including oil temp, water temp, vacuum, air flow ratio etc
The negatives:
Paint is not in the best condition, faded above the rear window and on the engine lid.A few scratches/dints around the vehicle, as you would normally see on a car of its age.Guards have been flared by the previous owner and been painted over lightly to stop rust. Selling the car AS IS, unregistered and without RWC.
Inspections welcome. Car is located in Toowoomba, QLD. I can assist with interstate transport if required.
