Description
I bought this car off Craig’s list last year because it had the
incorrect engine in it, which was the correct engine for the ’68 LHD Toyota
S-800 I’m restoring. It was supposed to
come with a title, but it didn’t, so I secured a Washington State title in my
name (not registration-only, a real title).
The car was also supposed to be a roller, which it wasn’t, but I took
the time to break loose all the drums (the new shoes were stuck to the
drums). Some shoes came off whole, some
lost their lining, but all the shoes are included. It is now a genuine titled roller.
Please inspect the pictures carefully. What you see is what you get. Some dents, some through rust, some surface rust. Front and back windows are missing, most interior is in very poor condition. Some holes rusted through in the floor, again, please see the detailed pictures. Most of the through rust is small and in places easily patched. Rocker panels are solid. I included pictures of the worst of the rust, additional underside pictures showing overall solid main floor and trunk are available upon request. Automatic transmission and driveshaft are included. NO ENGINE!
I don’t know whether it is worth restoring, but may be a good parts car for somebody. If nobody wants it, it gets hauled to the crusher, but I figured it was too good for that, so I’m giving people a chance to buy the whole thing or whatever parts they want from it.
