Description
Up for sale is our family's most beloved Toyota Tarago, which has been a most reliable car since it has been in our ownership for coming on 8 years now.
We have just recently upgraded to a 2005 automatic Tarago as our eldest daughter has just acquired her Learners Permit and we figured she'd be better off practicing in an Auto then a manual. We decided to stick with this popular model as we still needed a people mover (6 in our family!) and the Tarago has given us many years of trouble free motoring.
Please note - although this vehicle is currently registered until the end of this year, we will be cancelling the registration and selling AS IS, as there are a few minor things that require repair in order to obtain the mandatory safety certificate required for legal sale. We have had the vehicle inspected and it will cost about $1000 to $1300 to get up to scratch.
Items requiring attention:
Left Door Mirror (the mirror mechanism has detached from the mirror housing)Right park and left number plate light not workingHorn not workingRight side internal door trim requires securing3 tyres require replacingDriver side door lock requires repair (central locking not currently working, but remaining doors can be locked with key)steering rack could do with replacingI have a copy of the Inspection Report.
There are also a few minor oil leaks that is expected in vehicle of this age, and the rear spoiler is missing as a result of my wife backing the vehicle out of the garage without the garage door fully raised (!!!).
Apart from the above, this is a totally reliable vehicle and has given us many years of trouble free driving. It has always started first time, every time. We have often used this vehicle for holidaying down the coast and even drove it up to QLD from the ACT which is where we originally purchased it from. I know that the previous owner brought the vehicle over from the Northern Territory.
In the past 5 years we have had the vehicle regularly serviced, and in the past 2 years we have replaced the brake pads, clutch and pressure plate.
We are looking at a quick sale here at an unbelievable starting price of $2500 - even with the extra grand required to bring this vehicle up to scratch it is a bargain in comparison with similar aged Taragos with mileage as such.
