GOOD POINTS
Excellent condition inside and out. Exterior paint good, some minor chips, only 1 tiny bit of rust below rear window (see photos).Non-smoking, low kilometre vehicle. All electrics working including cassette player (see note about electric aerial below), air con and power windows.
BAD POINTS
Oil leaking from power steering pump, needs new front shocks and disc pads. Radio aerial is noisy and will need replacing as not automatically returning to correct height. Small split in control knob on high low lever. Not suitable for towing. Drivers window rattles when half way down.
HISTORY
Second owner - purchased from Nunawading Toyota 4 years ago with 105,000km on the clock. Tow hitch was brand new wrapped up in the back.Looks to have previously been shedded, and always has been by me.Used by me only for picnics and Sunday drives.l removed the wheels fitted with new tyres when l bought it and fitted standard rims for 45k's of driving and then refitted current wheels so these Maxxis tyres have done 15k. Has 15" wheels that are possibly genuine for the truck.
Soon after buying it l fitted a Marks kit to disengage the constant 4wd, cost approx $650. Has new AVM free wheeling hubs fitted at the same time as the Marks kit, engaged once to test.
The radiator, rear disc pads , gas tank and gas delivery hose and one headlight are the only items that have needed replacing.
Gas tank holds 90 litres plus and was installed a few years ago at a cost of approx $1990. As the original gas kit was installed pre compliance plate days in 1990 there is no compliance plate fitted to the car, l have the receipt for the new gas tank installation along with the valve cover iff the old tank with test date visible.
This Landcruiser has seen no off road use apart from driving fire trails to picnic areas and has not been bogged whilst l have owned it.
This Landcruiser is fitted with the fuel injected 4 litre push rod engine and is not a suitable tow vehicle for anything but the lightest trailer. l have since bought a V8 F100 as l wish to now tow a horse float.
Suit
engine swap to big block chev non electronic auto with lock up converter take big block. It does not come with a roadworthy certificate as l suspect the shelving and cargo barrier may need engineering, mechanically it will need at least front shocks and disc pads but all seems good otherwise.
Reg is paid till August 2016.
