MUp for auction is my 1996 Toyota Starlet 5 speed manual , with 10 months Victorian Registration (worth approx. $500)
Car is in great condition mechanically and interior is neat, clean and very tidy. Non smoker car.
2 years ago the car was fitted with a low kilometre (80,000klms) Japanese import engine, along with a brand new clutch, clutch release bearing, plus Gates brand new timing belt and 2 brand new complete front driveshafts plus a new battery and front brake pads. In other words, everything important has been attended to. See attached pictures. Car is registered with the new engine number and was inspected by VicRoads after installation. A rare tacho dash was also fitted at the same time the engine was changed and was re-set to zero at the time, now has 44,XXX klms on it. Oil and filters changed regularly starts and runs perfectly. Light clutch and gearshift.
Car also has icy cold air conditioning plus a quality Sony 4 speaker radio/CD player with remote control and USB input with 6x9” Pioneer speakers in the rear parcel shelf.
All interior trim is in great condition, carpet has been replaced also and looks great and there’s no rust or accident damage. Car has been garaged while I have owned it for the last few years.
Average fuel use is extremely low and car is VERY economical to run, standard unleaded petrol - around a 35 litre fill which covers just over 600 kilometres per tank in day to day suburb driving. I fill it every other week for under $50.00.
All lights, the handbrake and electrical switches work fine, car has no problems and is driven every day.
The bad - it will need a new windscreen for RWC as it now has a crack in the lower left side thanks to a car that pulled out in front of me a few months ago, grrr. RWC will be the buyers responsibility. Paint could use a good polish and it has a small dent in the bonnet, not worth fixing or it could be replaced with another one from the wreckers for around $50. I haven’t bothered with it as the paint isn’t even broken by the dent.
Only reason for selling is I have bought a 4 door car with more room (for the now teenage kids) in the back.
Thanks for looking, car can be stored under cover for as long as you need once paid for. Can also delivered if required within a reasonable distance from Silvan, VIC, again, once paid for. Starting price is reserve price so it will sell to the highest/any bidder.
