Description

Due to the very recent arrival of my baby, it's time for me to sell my beloved Supra. It needs to make room for a more family-friendly car!
It’s an Australian delivered, widebody, modified 1987 7MGTE auto. But don’t let the ‘auto’ element turn you off buying it…
I have owned the car for 7 years now. I bought it down in Tassie as a non-turbo with a blown head gasket. Since then I’ve spent over $20,000 on this car, modding it and improving it.
I bought a 7MGTE, had it rebuilt (properly!) and did the turbo conversion, and I’ve been tinkering with it ever since.
I brought it with me when I moved to Melbourne but haven’t really been able to use it since. Preparing for my new family has taking up all of my time and money.
Unfortunately it has to go.
Here is the mod list:
-Rebuilt 7MGTE (now done ~44,000k's) with 50 thou oversized pistons, 1.2mm metal head gasket and ARP bolts done properly
-Hypergear TR43i Turbo running 1 bar (14psi) boost (has a turbo beanie fitted) - on boost around 2300rpm
-2.5" Stainless steel intercooler piping
-Big intercooler (can’t remember measurements… but it’s black and large and does a great job)
-Greddy RS bov (recirculated)
-3" stainless steel exhaust from turbo back, with recirculating divorced downpipe
-Lexus 1UZ Air Flow Meter with a big pod filter strapped to it
-550cc injectors
-88 turbo model wiring harness and ecu
-SAFC Fuel computer
-Walbro 255 lph fuel pum
-Recently replaced the a340e gearbox and it has an MV Automatics Stage 1.5 auto shift kit
-Transmission cooler (also can't remember dimensions, but it's a pretty decent size)
-Replaced most bushes under the car
-Tokico Illumina II shocks (work with TEMS!) and lowered springs
-DBA slotted front rotors
-Stock 4.30 LSD (yes it works!)
Body mods:
-Most of the car has had a respray around 2 years ago, and paint overall is quite good
-89 model tail lights
-17” Super Advan tri-spoke wheels (they are really light!)
-Clear front indicators
- Custom fibreglass 89 model replica body moulds (colour coded)
-Seats, handbrake lever and centre console lid retrimmed in black leatherette with red stitching
-89 model door trims from JZA70 with 6.5" speaker holders
-JVC headunit with iPod connectivity and usb slot
-Kenwood KAC6402 Amp powering 2x10" Kenwood subs in custom box
-6.5" 200W Fusion splits for front speakers
-Boost gauge in 3-gauge holder – room for two more gauges
-Turbo timer
As a bonus I’ll give you an 89 model steering wheel, indicator/wiper assembly and plastic moulding surrounds complete set that I as yet have not managed to fit.
I'll also give you a set of braided steel brake lines for free.

The car runs fine with normal city/highway driving. At the moment it hits fuel cut on high revs under boost. Solution would be to either lower the boost or get it tuned to get the air/fuel ratios at current boost levels
I’ve run it on 98 octane petrol ever since doing the turbo swap.
I’ve never had it on the dyno, but the first time I got it tuned it was pushing the limits of its current setup @ 15psi - at least 350bhp
Tyres are great, cost me $300 a piece when I bought them, and still have plenty of tread left.
I haven't been able to work on it for a while now. Newborns take up so much time and money!
It's been sitting in my car spot taking up space. need it gone!
It's time for someone else to enjoy my favourite car.
The car was serviced at the same time the new gearbox was put in earlier this year. Body has ~199000km on it, engine has ~44000km on it since rebuild.
Has Rego until mid August 2014. No RWC provided. Need it gone ASAP

Asking for $4000. With the amount of money I’ve spent on this car it’s a total bargain!
It's worth that in parts alone! Car is insured for $6500 so I'm selling it way under value.
Do a manual swap if you desire.
Buy it and part it out and make a profit.
Or give it a proper tune and you’ll have a great , powerful Supra.
I'm selling it really cheap!
I will definitely be sad to see it go.
No Trades. No Time Wasters.
