Description
Welcome to my advert!
This is my 1994 (L) Chimaera in black with biscuit leather interior.
I have owned this car since December 2011 and it has been my daily driver ever since. The only time it was off the road was whilst it was getting the following completed:
• New 4.6 Rover V8 with stage 3 big-valve heads supplied and installed by V8 Developments (due to original engine failure) This engine has now covered approx 4,000 miles.
• Reconditioned differential (GKN) and gearbox (LT77) by Competition Transmission Services as a complete transmission overhaul to complement the new engine
Since I have owned the car it has been serviced by both TVR Power and Str8Six, and any issues arising during these have been seen to.
The exhaust has been sleeved which certainly liberates some extra sound, and is by no means uncomfortable during my hour-long commute to work.
The chassis was given a clean bill of health by both of the above specialists and has benefited from an application of the highly-regarded Dynax S50 for the past two winters.
Tax until end of Sept '14 and MOT (no advisories) until October '14
Niggles:
Left wing mirror can move slightly if passenger door is slammed shut, but stays in position otherwise.
Occasional hunting idle at junctions, spot on once moving.
Oil pressure sender to gauge not operational, however dash light still works.
Fuel gauge slightly under-reads.
Chip in paint on driver's wing mirror as seen in photo.
Reason for sale: lift-share on my commute no longer works there, so my fuel and maintenance costs have doubled in one fell swoop and I can't bear to keep it as a weekend car!
