Description

For sale my 1991 TVR V8 S. 61500 miles with great service history. I have described it in some detail below, but viewing it will be many times more meaningful to you, should you be interested. (please note that the details that come up automatically above wrongly state it's a 4 speed, it's a 5 speed manual)
I have owned this car since 2009 and have loved every minute of it. I bought it from David Gerald Sportscars nr Worcester. Addictive power and soundtrack. Unfortunately I just don't use it any more due to the arrival of my baby boy last year. In fact, since it's MOT in May last year it's only covered 110miles! I keep it in a dry, heated garage and it has not seen rain in all the time I've owned it.
Beyond basic servicing I've had to do very little to it. The main thing I have done (yesterday, in fact) is replace the oil pump/filter housing gasket due to an oil leak, which is now gone. (this was an advisory on its last MOT) The other recurring advisory is the effectiveness of the handbrake, but this has not got any worse, and does not stop it passing. On the last MOT one front tyre came up as an advisory as it's wearing on the inner edge, though it is still very much legal. I will put it through a new MOT either on 23rd or 30th May depending on my time, the current one expires on 23rd.
Cosmetically: This is an unrestored example, so there are some stone chips, a 4 inch crack in the paintwork near the leading edge of the bonnet (can't be seen in the photos) one of the driving lamps is cracked, as is one of the front indicator lenses. As you can see from the photos the car is very presentable indeed. The wheels could do with a refurb, never bothered me enough to get it done.
Mechanically: Drives wonderfully, superb sounding engine/exhaust. Runs nice and straight and pulls up well and evenly. Doesn't use any water or oil, doesn't overheat and oil pressure good. The underside is solid, it's been undersealed in the past. There is surface rust on the front wishbones and some flaking paint on the chassis under the engine, neither have evolved in my ownership as I've not got been out in the wet!
