Description
Up for sale is my VH 1971 valiant Hardtop coupe. It has been confirmed by the Valiant registry in SA that it is a matching numbers car.
It comes with w35 mags and 4 near new hankook tyres. Brakes and suspension is perfect.
Engine/Trans
Its a 265 with a bw35 auto. The original engine runs super smooth and perfectly The transmission changes and performs 100%.
Interior
The interior in this Hardtop is in excellent condition. The seats, dash, carpet and trim is in excellent shape. Seats recline forward and backwards and it has the Dickie seats front and rear. It has a couple of repairs in the roof lining.
Body
It is currently painted the original colour russet. It will need a paint job to bring it back to its formal glory. For a 1971 Hardtop it is super straight with next to no rust. The car floor and boot floor is excellent. There is a few small rust and bog patches but not much at all. I have looked up under the dash for rust around the air vents but there is no rust and no water comes in when I wash it. It has taken a knock on the rear quarter which is easily fixed when painted. Basically this Hardtop coupe is only in need of paint and a couple of oil leaks fixed. It really drives great.
I originally purchased this car as all it needed was paint. I was going to put a 360 v8 in it but since I have brought it, I have found out its a very original matching numbers car with even the owners manual in the glove box. I don't want to pull apart such an original car so she is up for sale. If it doesn't sell I will keep it and make my changes. Has original Spare and jack etc
Feel free to ask any questions.
