Here for sale is my black 2003 Vauxhall VX220 NA 2.2
I have owned this Vx220 for nearly two years now and have not had any issues with it when used daily for work, I have just come to the realisation that I need more space for bikes etc. I am selling the car due to needing something more practical i.e boot space. The car is in good condition for its age with a few stone chips to the front clam. As you can see from the pictures it cleans up very well with a good shine to the paint when polished and waxed.
Good Points:
Both timing and balance chains done April of this year with genuine GM parts. (Covered only approx 1500-2000 miles)Serviced at the same timeRecent replacement of rear pads and discsGood tyres all roundTurbo roof seal as to stop water ingress at the tops of the windows.Dipped dashplates and alacantra door card insertsJust replaced all hub carrier bolts with new as these are a known weak point for cars driven on track or fast road. This car has had neither but I replaced anyway as didn't know any history.Rear toe links replaced with low mileage unitscirca 5000 miles. Harness bar with wrap around harness fitted for drivers seat and cut outs in seat - was planned for a track day but was called off. so all ready for the next owner if desired. Bad Points:
As said stone chips to the front bumperDrivers side inner sill trim broken - was like this when I purchased it. Doesn't bother me as it cant be seen when you are sat in driving it, also a common problem.Drivers seat has suffered bolster wear due to high mileageOffside rear clam has markings of possible paint fracture? Noticed a few months ago - think i could of possibly been nudged in a car park as only noticed when cleaning it.Light scratches around the boot opening on the rear clam. All in all I have tried to as honest as possible with the condition, I will update listing with further info and photos as I get them as have probably forgotten something. This is a great base for a more track biased Vx220 or for someone's first vx220, or to get hold of a future classic for a good price. This is one of the lowest priced Vx220s around.
