VW 181 Thing Convertible 1974, not Beetle, Kombi, Manx, Volkswagen

This is a one owner VW 181 Convertible has only done 45,000 original miles. I bought this car from its original owner in California who hardly drove it, only to VW rallies.

Comes with original owners manual in its VW Dealership plastic folder, it is the rare limited edition Acapulco model, hence the blue dash and number plate light cover.
Overall this car is in superb condition, it had a repaint about 5 years ago and has a few little scratches here and there, but overall presents extremely well.

1600cc motor & manual trans are excellent. All original. Best 181 in Australia.

Car has a new Robbins convertible top which has a lifetime warranty. All original upholstery is in fantastic condition. Everything works, drives really nice. Rare fun car that gets attention and thumbs up everywhere I go. Left Hand Drive. Manual 4 Speed. New Stereo & hidden speakers fitted. Comes with import approval so it can be registered in any state of Australia.

For interstate buyers I’d recommend car carrier Ceva. They charge approx $400 delivery to Sydney and $700 to Melbourne depots.
