Rare Tax Exempt Twin Slider Tin Top VW Bay Window Camper Big Bore 1641cc

Right, can`t put this off any longer I have to sell my V-dub as I need funds for my Westy project and my work van needs repairs, plus I`m not using it enough due to work commitments. IN BRIEF: (see below for more in depth description) It`s a very rare tax exempt twin slider tin top, it was a cross-over which originally had low lights but before I brought it some-one had put a new front clip on it with later high indicators which now sort of ties in with the rear indicators but you still get the more desirable bumpers. Tinted rear glass (very dark to look in but very easy to see out of), 1641cc big bore engine, very recent top end re-build with Mahl barrels and pistons, push button start, totally stripped back and re-sprayed inside and out about 3 years ago, new interior about 2 years ago, lowered, new shocks all round,recent total mechanical overall, under sealed and wax oil for added protection, bare metal parts are lacquered and waxed to stop rust, Iron cross theme ( mirrors/ switches/gear knob), skull & roses curtains (really cool), Day van or camper comes with drive away awning,12v/230v fridge,stove/grill,water carrier, table stored under locker/full width R & R bed/ over head locker/ 15" swivel drop down TV with DVD and built in games console  (or connect your own), LED lighting, Full surround digital stereo, 2nd battery with battery charger, mains hook up, 12v & 230v sockets, new tyres and brakes, all ready to go camping or days out. Certified Valuation at £15,000.00. IN DETAIL: Engine; 1641cc with empi quiet pack exhaust & weber 32/36 progressive carb (this is set up properly to give the 2nd chamber kick down for more power)  Top end re-build about 500mls ago, Mahl pistons and barrels, unleaded heads, electronic ignition, Push Button Start, Alternator, new lift pump, new plugs and leads, new alternator and battery leads, new starter motor, new clutch, fairly new heat exchangers, new pulley wheels, tin wear stripped and re-sprayed. . Other Mechanics: Gear box bell housing seal replaced, gear box all cleaned and painted,gear push rod removed & greased with bushes changed, front push rod re-placed (socket end), brakes: front callipers stripped and re-built, rear drums re-built with new cylinders, new flexi hoses all round, new pads and shoes, new master cylinder, brake system flushed and cleaned, new hand brake cables and springs, new brake pedal return spring. Heat exchanger/ clutch/ throttle cables re-placed, lowered on horse shoe plates at the rear with new shocks (no change to suspension geometry), lowered by the beam at the front with new Gaz adjustable shocks to try and take some of the up bounce out of the hard ride. All new ducting to the heat exchanges, working well now, other bushes and seals changed as deemed necessary.   Body Work: about 3 years ago it was totally stripped to a bare shell, cab doors and tail gate were replaced, then the whole van was prepped inside and out, primed then sprayed in 2 pack commercial satin black, the front clip/bumpers and wheel rims are bare metal which is lacquered then anchor wax to stop rust, the chassis and underneath were cleaned off then under sealed with a final coat of wax oil sprayed everywhere for added protection. rear windows are tinted but are very easy to see out but dark to see in, rear light lenses are smoked and front indicators are clear with orange lamps, all locks/ catches / handles & hinges were stripped cleaned, repaired, lubricated and rebuilt (originals are far better than the new junk), all window & door rubbers and seals were replaced with genuine VW replacements, cab door glass/ lifters/ brushes & aluminium surrounds were replaced with new, new window screen. Interior: All door cards are new 3mm Ply (not mdf or hardboard) with black carbon fibre effect, new cab head liner, rear head liner 3mm ply with white carbon fibre effect. Full width rock & roll bed with over head locker are new handmade  replicas of westfalia (proper routed joints), custom made rear storage pod, custom made buddy seat with suit case hob & grill underneath designed to use on upturned buddy seat for day use or put in awning to create a kitchen when camping, cooler and water container are also designed to remove easily to create a kitchen or for the beach. All interior is made from good quality ply, rear seats and bed are new, front seats have been re-padded then the whole interior was covered in white vinyl, table stored under over head locker and has fiamma tri-pod leg for use inside and outside the van, white led lighting in the rear and under locker 3 separate switches for mood, blue led lighting under both rear seats (looks really cool), various 12v & 230v sockets doted about, drop down 15" tilt & swivel tv with built in dvd & games console or connections for your own games console or memory stick, pioneer DAB radio with built in matrix & vibe speakers front and rear with sub woofers and tweeters, excellent sounds. Alarm. Clocks have beauty rings with all the switches changed to Iron Cross with Iron Cross gear knob, wing mirrors and an Iron Cross on the front of the van. New cab sound proof fitted flooring/cab matting  and kick panels identical to originals, new rear rubber flooring and mat. There is a 230v hook up and orange site lead, also a built in battery charger to keep your batteries topped up ( Batteries are quickly removed and put under van when charging due to fumes). This camper comes with a drive away awning the idea is , for a day van you can watch tv, play your games while waiting for the surf to come up then grab your beach stuff & the cooler to go on the sand (if you are drinking beer you can sleep it off in the van). For camping, make your kitchen and living area in the awning, big double bed to sleep in the van away from the bugs & with the other sliding door you have your patio/barbecue area for entertaining, best of both worlds. Very clean, tidy sorted van, the restoration was done with the intention of leaving the history in the van, high lighting the front clip, dents and holes in the bumpers etc., to give it attitude & individuality, something different and special, not shiny& straight but not rotting away, after all it is over 40 years old !!!!!!!!!!! Mot: 23rd June 2016 with no advisories Mileage: 94214 but only about 500mls since engine rebuild, this will go up as I still pot around in it. Insurance is less than £200 per year with valuation of £15,000.
