Volkswagen beetle 1970 air ride project

1970 1300 South African beetle project. Tax exempt! Low mileage at 22k. Car won runner up best beetle at Dubshed show a few years back. Since then I have stripped the car to rebuild. Typical South African spec with 5 stud hubs and pop out rear windows, front quarter light windows. I have replaced heater channels and carried out floor pan repairs etc so all welding complete! Floor pan fully painted above and below. Car has Empi 5 wheels with near new tyres, Empi front brake disc conversion, viair front air ride setup with tank and compressor mounted in below bonnet. U.S fibreglass front wings and U.S running boards. Full red beading around wings. Interior has been fully retrimmed, black carpet throughout, black leather roof cloth and door cards with red leather clubman seats. Few Wolfsburg goodies such as bonnet badge, gearknob etc. I have replaced the brake master cylinder, rear drive shaft boots and the front air shocks are brand new. The engine is a std 1300 which needs the carb adjusted to tickover better but car starts well and gearbox etc all good, no play in bottom crank pulley! The car currently sits as seen in the last few pics, it is not mot'd, it will need the lights rewired, the full beam is not working on one side and the tail lights are funny, this is why the rear wings are currently off the car. Other ways the car should not need anything other than a god drive to clean brakes etc. Some bodywork is needed, overall the shell is good but ideally the car could do with a respray to leave mint. Just being as honest as can be, car is a real head turner and would love to finish it but time and space does not permit.
