1963 Volkswagen Beetle

Regretful sale of my 1963 Beetle. This car is a real head turner and a great cruiser.Features include:- Narrowed beam- Dropped spindles - Short shift manual - 1300cc motor - Manifold heater - 12 volt conversion - Deep dish rear wheels - T-bar bumpers - Headlight eyelids - Disc brake conversion - Sony CD head unit - Sony 6x9s - SAAS steering wheel - SAAS tachoI also have custom plates 63VDUB - may be included with the car depending on the price.This model is a 1963 Standard which came from the factory with no chrome trim and no glovebox lid (etc). I have not come across another 63' Standard.Thousands spent. All work done by VW professionals. The car was my daily drive until it was garaged a few years ago.My plan was to undertake a full restoration on this appreciating classic, but I have three other projects and not enough time. That being said, the car is for sale only to gauge interest and I am happy to keep it garaged until I am ready to work on it again. It will only get harder to find these cars in the future.The car still runs but I haven't started it very often and just to be cautious it may need to be put on a trailer/need a tow to get it home. However, when I drove it regularly, it never missed a beat and it wont take much to get it back to a daily drive - these cars just keep going.The car is rough, low and loud and has a 'rat-rod' look about it. Condition is what you would expect for a 52 year old car. It has a few dents and scratches but nothing major. To be sold without RWC or registration. The car is eligible for club registration.The most important thing to look out for with the older Beetles is rust and no expense has been spared having terminal rust professionally removed.The car gets heaps of attention with people always stopping to take photos - there is nothing else like it on the road these days and is heaps of fun to drive.Reasonable offers considered.No time wasters please.
