1966 Volkswagen Beetle-Classic

Up for auction is a 1966 VW Beetle, I bought this car with full intentions of restoring it but you know how the old song goes hahahahahaha. The womans kid I bought it from was a local VW restorer and she was in the middle of this one when she passed. I tried buying this car from him for 2 years after and he wouldn’t let go of it. Last year he finally put it up for sale and I got it. She had started all the body work and shaved a lot of the moldings and signals. The car was stored in a garage the whole time. The bonnet looks good and the doors open and close smoothly. The car looks to be complete, I have taken all the parts out and took pics of them so you can see what you’re getting. The interior looks like it was reupholstered several years back and still looks and feels good. It has a Hurst shifter and an alternator conversion on the motor. The motor turns freely by hand but I have no way of putting spark to it as all the electrical in the car was in the middle of being upgraded and is not finished and I know NOTHING about wiring. The kid told me it ran when she started the restoration but I have never heard it run. The car is overall pretty solid and in much better shape than a lot of em I have looked at. The wheels that are on the car WILL NOT be included in the auction I have a set of steel wheels I will put on there fer ya. I towed the car 25 miles home with a bumper pull VW hitch with no problems but if you’re taking it any further I suggest a trailer. I will put all the parts back in the car for easy shipping. I have a CLEAR Missouri title and an ignition key as well. This is a great candidate for a restore if I had the room to store it indoors I would not let go of it, but I refuse to be one of them guys that lets them sit there and rot while I keep saying I’m gonna get to it. So take advantage before I change my mind hahahahahahaha. Bidding will start low with NO RESERVE I know what these guys are worth these days and I have full faith this one will get there. Pickup is in Knob Noster MO and it can sit here for a while as long as its paid for so that you can arrange shipping. Keep in mind it is parked outside. I have tried to give the best description as I can and I am going to include a ton of pics so BID AWAY!!!!!!!! $500 deposit by Paypal immediately following auction the rest can either be paid by Paypal as well or by WalMart money transfer wich ever you prefer. Car is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied!!!

IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THE WHEELS THAT ARE ON THE CAR NOW WILL NOT COME WITH IT!!! I HAVE A SET OF STEEL WHEELS WITH TIRES THAT I WIL PUT ON BEFORE PICKUP!!! I DO NOT WANT ANY MISUNDERSTANDINGS HERE!!!!
