Description
1967 L41 Black/ India Red Beetle, unmolested and complete. Runs and drives, engine starts right up and has good power, no smoke, transmission shifts smoothly. Brakes work fine to get it stopped but may need some attention.
I believe this car to be original with numbers matching drivetrain. The "H0" code engine is correct and I believe it to be original to the car. The carb is the correct 30 pict 1, "105-1" that is original to '67 U.S. Bugs. The distributor is also the original to '67 U.S. Bugs, "113-905-205k." (Both hard to find for a reatoration if missing.) The transmission looks to be original as well, the 12v starter/ swing axle/ long axle/ big 5 lug pattern that is also specific to '67 only. The key was missing so I ordered two VW blanks, cut to the code for doors and ignition. One key works everything.
Here is what I can tell you is not original to the car:
- 3 original wheels, 2 on rear, one spare. 2 smoothies on front of car. New tires needed.
-Passenger pan quarter replaced /patched. Heater channels are nice and solid as is the rest of the car.
-2" drop spindles on front, rear height matches.
The only damage is the front bumper/ bumper mount. See pics. The car is very straight otherwise. It looks like there was some work done to the top of the hood at some point. The car looks to have been resprayed once in it's original L41 Black.
The lights work except for headlights and signals. I haven't taken the time to sort it out. Tail lights, park lights, brake lights all work fine.
Clear Oregon title in my name. License plates will not be included unless the final destination for the car is Oregon. The car is currently licensed, registered and insured.
Please ask any questions, if you have a lot of questions, you can email me for phone number.
I may be adding pics of the car outside if the weather lets up.
Have fun bidding!
This is a true no reserve auction.
