1966 Volkswagen Beetle-Classic

Very Cool RARE 1966VW Beetle this car has a 1937 Ford Woody wagon conversion installed on it.This Vehicle needs a restoration but will be a very unique car as a dailydriver or at the car shows! This is an extremely rare piece as there were onlyapprox. 125 of these cars that have been exported into Canada.
This conversion was performed back in 1966 when these carswere new from my knowledge. A company called Lieffring Industries in Kansas City, Missouri performed theconversions from my knowledge and research. These cars were also called the Wunderbug.
Condition of The Car:
Body
· The car is 95% rust free accept some surfacerust inside the floor pans and around the rocker areas mostly inside the carthough
· No major dents or damage
· Original paint is still on the car
· The Vinyl roof had been previously repaired in apoor manner and needs to be completely redone
· Doors Trunk Hood and Windows all in workingcondition
· Fenders are solid and rust free including theinners
· Glass is in good condition
WOODY Conversion
· The solid wood components of this woody are ingreat shape to be reconditioned
· The internal panels were originally made of amulti laminated plywood and some of them are peeling and would require newveneers inserted into them.
· Rear Trunk Area all in tact I would recommendnew hinge and latch hardware during restoration
· Glass in the rear of these cars was plexi orlexan and needs replacement
· Interior headliner is REAL WOOD and is in tact and in great condition for refinishing
· All Fastener plugs appear to be tight and sealedwell

Interior
· Interior is very complete minus a carpet orfloor liner
· Seats are in good condition front and rear
· Dash is complete including real ivory knobs Etc
· Door Panels are all in place and could be reused
· Seat Belts 1 Good 1 Needs Replacing
· Windows Operate good and all door handles andwindow cranks are in place.
· Original radio and Steering Wheel in Place.
· Ash Tray in Place
· Rear View Mirror in place.
· REAL WOODHeadliner Assembly is in tact and in great condition for refinishing
Mechanical
· Engine is Currently out of the car but isincluded with the car.
o Engine is a 1970 1600cc Air Cooled VW Flat 4Cylinder 12V Model
o Engine is in Good Running Condition and isComplete
o May Need some Bellhousing Hardware etc toreinstall into car.
· Transmission is a 4 Speed Standard 1966 VW Transoriginal but in good working condition to the best of my knowledge.
· Transmission is currently installed in vehicle
· Brake Condition is unknown at this point as wehaven’t removed the wheels from this vehicle.
· Brake Pedal is INOP at this point no Brake Fluidin it at this time.
· Tires are in Great Condition and all Rims arematching and can be easily refinished.
· Fuel Tank is in place and good condition
