1976 Super Beetle Convertible (light blue color)
Runs well, but on her latest visit to the mechanic they detected low compression in cylinder 3. This will need to be dealt with eventually and is why I am starting the auction at the low price of $4500. Not a perfect specimen by any stretch, with rust popping up in places (runner boards, bubbling paint, undercarriage etc) and the usual wear and tear associated with a beetle this old. The floor boards are in great shape as they were previously replaced - no holes. She has been an extremely reliable car and that's why she's still here. Convertible soft top was replaced in 2014, functions perfectly and looks great too. Recent upgrades include new carburetor, new alternator, ign coil, spark plugs, headlight relay (all done 9/2020) and the master cylinder was done this year. All gauges seem to work properly except for the odometer. We have years of service records dating back to the previous owner - all will be provided. My family has had so much fun with this reliable, summer daily driver for the last 5 years. It has always been stored in the winter months since we owned it. Hoping someone will enjoy it as much as us. This car makes everyone smile. Spare tire included in hood, with original blaupunk stereo (current stereo is a newer kenwood with usb). Vehicle sold “as is”.
