Description

1978 Super Beetle Convertible Classic
Purchased this at a classic car auction beginning of summer 2021 along with a foxbody Mustang of which was my main target. Convinced myself I needed another project and thought my wife would like it. Wife liked it but pointed out I barely have enough time for existing projects.wifes always right.
I own a Jeep parts yard, I could probably tell you just about anything when it comes to a Jeep or AMC. I know Volkswagon was originally a German car engineered on the cheap or so my buddy tells me. Thats it. I had no clue something this old had fuel injection but this one does factory. This does not run, it does turn over. Theres rust in floor boards mainly rear passenger seat floor board but front floorboards too. Everything else is actually pretty clean and still intact. Body panels are clean, straight and no rust, couple very small dings or scratches, One bigger ding/dent on rear passenger side but nothing major. Underside looks pretty clean, top has a tear on driver side and starting to pull from glass at back window. All glass is good shape, no cracks or missing glass. Front trunk opens and closes (Finally remembered latch was in glovebox) no major rust there. Bumpers are intact and straight, chrome starting to wear off in some spots. Body clad molding on bumpers is starting to pull.
What I am looking for? Well if I get what I have in it that would probably be fine, I considered parting it but I already have 7 acres of Jeep parts and dont really want to have to inventory a new line of parts. I would consider trades, you can email me with your offer but do know I am in Western Colorado and you would have to figure out the swap as far as bringing what ever here after we agree. Denver is 4 hours away and so is Salt Lake, We are smack in the middle. I could transport with fee to one of these cities or possibly somewhere else but I would rather just find a auto transporter as I have very little time. We can work out details after sell. I expect $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction ending, Can be paid through eBay or Paypal or call for credit card payment. 7 buisness days I need to have full payment unless you and I have spoken and your bringing cash for balance. I have a Washington Title and notorized transfer in hand and will Overnight once payment is received. Feel free to ask any questions you may have prior to bidding. If you have 0 feedback and do not contact me first I will remove your bid. It costs about $85 bucks to list a vehicle on eBay and a ton of time so please do not bid unless this is something you actually want. I will only list it once on eBay regardless if it sells or not so do not wait and see if I will re-list it.
If you need or want a different photo of something, a close up photo or another video you need to call me first and request this. I will not respond to photo or video requests through eBay messages.
International Bidders: You are welcome to bid. I can help arrange transport to the port of your choosing once payment has been made. I will send title and paperwork to you in certified trackable method.
