1967 VOLKSWAGON BEETLE COUPE

This old Volkswagen Beetle is truly in wonderful condition. I just purchased this vehicle after it sat for roughly 3 years in a barn after the owner past away. He was a long time Volkswagen restorer in South Carolina. This was the last Volkswagen he was going to restore and the one he was going to keep.
He sourced out four original NOS fenders, With NOS running boards, wiring, four new chrome wheels with hub caps, four brand new tires, dyna mat full insulation throughout the car for nice quiet driving along with numerous brand new mechanical parts and interior parts as all the photos will show. The previous owner who passed also said he purchased a brand new NOS Volkswagen crate motor that was installed in the car. He upgraded the motor with a new high performance package all new. The transmission was also completely rebuilt with roughly 20 miles of use.
He also had a lot of the external parts on the motor chrome plated with showroom chrome. I photographed the motor number and it looks like F0709976 as seen in the photos. If any of you VW experts know what this motor number means I will add it to my listing. Thank you.
Please know I have never owned a Volkswagen Beetle and really know hardly a thing about them. I am selling this VW as not matching numbers or parts because I just dont know about these cars. Please have your expert VW man come and view this car at my home before bidding. You’ll notice in the video of me driving with my mechanic that I didn’t know how the shift pattern in a Volkswagen was and I wasn’t sure how to shift it. I soon found out that the shifting pattern is totally different from our American four-speed shifting patterns. It was only after the test drive when I got back and googled the shifting pattern did I see its not a H pattern like our American cars. Since the video I have driven the car once again and it shifts threw all 4 gears and reverse very nice. Once again I really don’t know hardly a thing about Volkswagens.
I brought the car home and washed it. You will see a video of all the extra parts that the owner collected that will go to the new owner. This old car is in beautiful condition and needs to be be finished to enjoy. 98% of the restoration is complete, just the small things it looks like need to be addressed. Things like installing the brand new front carpets that I have and other small things that are there. The nice thing is it will only involve labor of love as most everything is new and all the expensive items are already paid for installed and done. This car is not all original from day one but a beautiful driver with mostly all new parts that I dont know much about. Once again please come and view at my home before bidding its really beautiful in real life.
