Description
1967 VW BEETLE CONVERTIBLE
I have for a sale a 1967 VW Beetle.
I purchased this car from a friend who owned it since 1986. He bought it from the original owners.I bought the car about a year ago and have not had time to use it so its time to let someone else enjoy it.
He refurbished the car in 1999 which included the paint and body work.new floor pans and added the a freshly built 1600 cc dual port engine. Also the interior was redone at that time and a new top installed. I do have the original engine to the car and it is included if you win the auction.
The top is in perfect condition and works perfectly. It has all of its original glass. The pan number matches the title. I will also include the gas burning heater that was in the car for years. not currently installed but the mounting provisions are still there. The headlight lenses are currently mismatched but I have a matching set that goes with the car.
The wheels are EMPI five spokes and I have new billet wolfsburg centers that are not installed but included. It also has an EMPI shifter.
The parts of the car that did not recieve attention are the brakes and suspension. I installed a new master cylinder to help the brakes out but they still need some adjustment. In my opinion the front suspension should be rebuilt. The car is driveable as is but would drive much better with updated bushings and shocks. There is some rust in the foward section of the pan as seen in the pics.
With a little work this car would be a great joy to own and drive.
Please look at the pics and if you have any questions please ask.
I will require 10% non refundable deposit within 48 hrs of auction end.
I'm willing to work with you on shipping the car but prefer you pick it up at my place. If picking up, buyer needs to take delivery within 2 weeks after auction ends. Any additional storage time after two weeks will be an additional $35.00 per week or $5 per day.
Thanks for looking, and happy hot rodding!
