For Sale - 1963 Volkswagen
Beetle
Restored in 1988 by Sho-Mee Buggy Center in Springfield, MO. New floor pans, body in overall good condition. Interior in good condition, radio delete car. Electrical system converted to 12V. 2” drop spindles up front to achieve the perfect stance. Factory drum brakes have all new components. Car is very streetable with mild cam profile. Pulls good vacuum at idle. Too many items to list. Have all receipts. The original 1200cc engine and transaxle are included with the sale of the car.
Engine - 1915cc utilizing Mahle barrels and pistons. 8-dowel pin crank wedge-mated to 12lb. flywheel, and then balanced as a complete assembly. CB Performance Mini Wedge cylinder heads with valve spring upgrade. 1600T turbo kit from Lowbugget utilizes Turbonetics T3 turbo, 38mm waste-gate, Holley 350cfm 2-barrel carburetor with turbo adjust-a-jet for easy tuning. Holley Red electric fuel pump and regulator. In its current configuration, turbo system achieves 7-8lbs. of boost at full throttle. Also has a locked out distributor w/electronic ignition for use with a turbo set-up. Turbo kit is good for 250hp. Full flow oil system with external oil cooler (w/fan) and external oil filter. Header and turbo muffler are ceramic coated and polished.
Transaxle - Built to handle 250hp+. Super-diff, aluminum side cover, welded 3rd and 4th gear, new axle tubes. Short throw shifter with reverse lock-out. 3.88 gear ratio.
