Description
Volkswagen Convertible Beetle, Karmann Edition Super BeetleThe 1979 Volkswagen Beetle convertible was the last year that the convertible was sold. It is equipped with an air-cooled, four-cylinder, overhead cam engine. It is a rear-wheel-drive with the standard four-speed manual transmission.
The very last one page brochure for the Super Beetle simply stated, "After 29 years, millions of Beetles, and countless improvements, The 1979 Convertible is still a very sensible way to flip your lid."
This Beetle is a one owner vehicle, still owned by the original purchaser when new.
The Beetle was refurbished by a professional. It has remained in a garage since completion and only has a few hundred miles driven since restored. Everything was put back together with all new rubber goods, fender welts, chrome & etc. The seats are new, top is new , new front protective bra and new paint. The car looks better than when it came from the Karmann Plant.
The engine and running gear were not rebuilt, as it all appears to be in excellent condition.
The car can be seen or driven by contacting seller. It is located in Shelby, NC.
