Volkswagen: beetle-new GLS

2003 Volkswagen New-Beetle
*** GLS Convertable ***
I am a retired Honda Dealership Owner
who knows quality cars
andstill loves to
FIND and SELL
a fewspecialused luxury cars.
THIS CAR IS VERY SPECIAL SINCE I
PURCHASED IT 3 YEARS AGO AS MY
DAUGHTERS FIRST CAR! SHE TURNS 21
THIS MONTH AND IS GETTING A NEW CAR.
E X C E L L E N T C O N D I T I O N !!!
This GLS Convertable had 98K miles on it
when we purchased it 3 years ago
and presently shows 114K miles.
It is a 3 owner car (including me) and has a
*** Clean CarFax ***.
These are wonderful, fun cars
but
if you research New-Bettle Convertibles,
you will note
2 consistant problems:
1. The Convertable top shrinks over time
and the back window leaks. This car had this
issue 3 years ago when I purchased it .. and ..
I had it repaired by a Top-Shop
(that does all my work) and their repair
has worked excellent for 3 years and
shows no further sign of ware.
2. The interior door panels and
interior the door handles are made of plastic
which deteriorate and breaks with age.
The same company mentioned above repaired
the door panels and replaced the door handles
with after market metal handles which have
worked wonderful.
Other than that .. we have had no problems
with the car and just changed the oil
(with synthetic)
at required intervals.

* Top .. In Excellent condition
* Tires .. Good ..1/3 Life Left
* Optional Audio System .. Factory 6 CD player
in Center Console (Right door speaker rattles)
* Interior .. Excellent
* Exterior .. Excellent .. Very Minor
Chips or Scratches
* No Tonneau cover for convertible top
