It runs and drives
great! I've invested over $6000 having the engine rebuilt, the mechanicals and transmission
restored, also another $1,500 on new interior and exterior parts. The
expensive work has been done, now the van just needs to be finished and
enjoyed. I have all receipts, and service records for the work listed below.
Work completed so far:
Complete Engine Rebuild, New Cylinder Head, New Clutch, New Catalytic Converter (Passed Colorado emissions), New Steering Rack, New Gas Tank, New Gas Sender, New Filling Neck to Gas Tank, New Oil Pressure Switch, New Condenser,New Printed Circuit Boards, New Ropes and Pulleys behind Dash (All Air Controls Work), New Fan Motor, New Shifter, New Bushings in Shifter, New Fresh Air Blower, New Wiper Motor & Switch, New Rear Corner Lenses (Signals), New Door Handles and Locks, New Side Rear View Mirrors, Replaced Rack Boots, Replaced Engine Gaskets and Hardware, Valves Adjusted, Steering Wheel Adjusted (removed play), Master Tune Up - Oil, Filters and Plugs
New parts purchased, but not installed yet:
Pop Top Canvas, with tack strip, Full interior panel set, with handles, Front and back bumpers with end caps, Exterior camper inlets and covers, Interior light lenses, Front corner lenses (signals), Wiper Blades, Window Cranks, Gas Cap, Pop Top Restoration Kit
Issues still remaining to resolve:
Slight surface rust around windows, Two small holes with rust- drivers foot panel, Panel dents on driver's side, Pop top exterior cleaning, Head Liner, Floor Board Covering in main camping area, Cabinet molding (some areas), Cabinet veneers (some areas), Carpet in front area, Exterior painting (if desired)
Parts still needed to finish restoration:
Foam for back folding seat (already sourced, $200), Curtains, Carpet for front area, Speakers
