Description

This is a VW van modified for going to Baja to tow a tent trailer and camp out in Baja. It has been modified to be a single cab with open to back. It is lifted and does run, needs a fresh battery. Engine is a V6 Chevrolet with a kennedy adapter and works fine, need a tune up from sitting, does start and move. The additional power allows towing a trailer. It has a front tow bar as well as rear hitch. Roof rack for storage (removed for storage), as well as a side awning. It has a clean title and ready for the road. We currently have it no-op status. Stored under cover and ready for offroading Baja style. Has been sitting and needs a tune up, starts and runs, new battery. Not interested in trades. This is a good start needs some TLC, priced to sell. Can tow home with 2" tow bar on front, will need to air up tires. Comes with a few extra tires. Great start on a baja off road camping vehicle.
Just replaced the battery, has a new 5 year battery installed in rear so I could start it for anyone who wanted to come and see vehicle before bidding or purchasing.
I had lost the ignition switch key and installed a new VW key switch in the steering column. I have two keys for ignition. I tested the switch it works and able to start vehicle.
In the photos it shows a roof rack. I have taken it off so it can fit under my carpet for storage out of the weather. I can bolt it back on for the purchaser or if they do not want it can dispose of it. Previous owner slept on top of rack while his wife slept inside.
The passenger side has a door to get in bed area. Not perfect but it does give access to that area.
The tow bar is a good quality RV tow bar, it was towed to my home from person I had purchased it from. I think its a 2" ball, I can confirm if you purchase it and pick it up. I have not driven it beyond my property, it runs fine after warmed up. I would suggest a complete tune up since fuel has been sitting in it. There will be minor items you will have to repair in my opinion but nothing major that I am personally aware of. I am trying to disclose what I know from the questions that I have been sent. The tires I am sure are out of date and assume you will need new tires for any distance driving for sure. There is two extra tires in bed area.
I have had numerous offers and I am firm on the price. The running gear is worth the value alone plus it has a clear California title, it was purposefully built for going to Baja to camp out on roads and highways that are mostly dirt and unpaved. It does drive on paved roads fine but this was raised up to give more ground clearance.
