Description

The time has come to sell our "VW CASA". It runs great and we drive it on a regular basis. If you've never owned one you're really missing out. If you like camping, surfing, biking, and just smiling nothing works better than a VW Bus, and a full Westfalia Camper is the best of the best. Last year I stripped the van and had the paint redone in original merlot color. this was a top-off (top painted separate from van), base coat, clear coat paint it looks AWESOME (see pics) I had new BFG All-terrains installed on a set of VW Factory alloys. Original steel rims with 4 good tires also included. I also had the tent replaced with a new 3-window model, replaced all the RV hook ups with improved GoWesty products. All exterior decals were replaced when the van was painted, it looks better than new. All the top and luggage rack seals are new, along with drip moldings
The van runs great, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. It doesn't leak or burn any oil at all, and has a fresh Mobil 1 oil change last month w/ factory VW filter. I would say the van is perfect, but no 25+ year old vehicle is perfect. The lights on the radio do not light up, the radio plays, but front speakers don't seem to work anymore. I'm sure the next owner will probably upgrade it to a CD system, but for me I just kept it original, and to be honest this is really more of a windows down, cruising slow, talking to people kinda car anyway. You'll get thumbs-up at every light, and people always want to see the inside and how everything works. Speaking of that, all the camper equipment works great, I always have cold beer, soda, and water in the fridge and I keep it puggeded in on 110volt AC while the van is parked in my garage, switching to 12V when we hit the road. So cool always having your own cold soda everywhere you go. The heater works great, it actually has Two of them, front and rear, both work great. The A/C doesn't work, actually it works but the compressor makes noise so we don't use it. The A/C in these vans is ONLY in the rear section, NOT the dash, so it's not exactly the best functioning A/C to begin with so we just don't use it.
I know everybody loves an old 23 -window micro bus, me too, but have you ever driven one? This Westy will do 90mph if you stay on the gas, and cruises all day at 70-75mph, just like a normal car. try that in a 23-window. The front seats swivel, has two tables, cupboards for everything to store out of sight, its a total self contained house that takes up no more room on the road or in your garage than a Honda Accord. Driving a Vangon is like seeing the world through an IMAX movie, there is nothing else like the view from the front seats through that huge windshield :-)
The interior is like new, no cracks on the dash, No tears in the seats, beds, or carpet, it's close to perfect, looks like a 2 year old car inside. The quality of the German materials and workmanship really show in these vans. All the glass is good, all glass is original VW except for windshield. Has full curtains and a bug screen so you can camp with the rear hatch open..VW & Westfalia really thought of everything when they designed these campers.
Absolutely NO RUST anywhere.
We hate to see it go, but we're moving out of state (finally) and have too many cars to bring with us already..
The camper is a 2.1 litre GAS engine, 4-speed manual transmission, and everything is original, no monkey- hack work done to it over the years.
The van runs great, but due to age we are selling as-is, no warranty. Feel free to ask questions, come take a test drive if you're local, or call me (321)246-7783.The van is located in Wildomar, Ca. 92595, shipping will be paid and arranged by bidder if needed.
If you have less than 5 feedback, DO NOT bid before contacting me or I will cancel your bid. Sorry, but way to many scammers on ebay now a days.
