Description
Very sad sale of my beloved van! She is an iconic T4 Short Wheel Base Caravelle Long-nose with rare automatic gearbox.
Metallic Red with the Super reliable 2.5 TDi 102bhp Diesel engine. Very high spec with Remote Central Locking, Air Conditioning, Rear Heating/Cooling, Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors, Colour-coded bumpers and mirrors, Alloy Wheels etc.
She has done under 110,000 miles - really low for these vans which just go on and on!
Tax until 31st March 2015, MOT around the same.
We have had only had her for about 3 months but change in our circumstances forces sale. Before us she only had 1 owner from new and has been brilliantly cared for (16 Volkswagen main agent services in the book!!). Last serviced at 105k miles.
I am absolutely gutted to be selling this car, it has been such a brilliant family car for us these past few months and I fear no other vehicle will ever live up to it for me! The space in it is just unbeatable, it's huge!
You can still see the listing we bought it off on eBay marked with sold - we paid £7495. Since we bought it we have also had a tow bar added at a cost of £180 and an additional gearbox cooler (which we were advised to have fitted as we planned to tow our caravan with it) at a cost of £280. We have receipts for all work done. Cambelt was changed at 65k, and says it is due for replacement at 145k.
8 seats, two captain seats to front and two 3 seater benches to back. Huuuge boot. Use exactly as it is, or have the very best base for a fantastic weekend, day, surf, or camper van. A few minor cosmetic marks but amazing condition for age.
We also purchased curtains for £170 but have never got around to putting them up - they can be added to the sale for £100 if wanted or we can sell them separately on eBay.
Boot picture is pre-tow bar - I'll update this when I've washed it and taken a new photo :)
Vehicle is in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and we work from home so are available for viewings most times.
