Description
M Reg June 1995 Volkswagen Corrado 2.9 VR6 in stunning Aqua Blue with Grey Leather. I've owned this car since 2012. Mot just done & not due again till 20/10/2016. Passed with flying colours.
Standard unmolested VR6 with a folder full of receipts and all the previous Mot's. Chains replaced & I've had the head polished and ported. Service every year regardless of use. Sunroof slides & tilts & Rear spoiler works as VW intended. Abs light comes on & goes off as VW intended & works perfectly. Electric windows/mirrors work with no issues whatsoever. Original sticker in the boot. New waterpump, drivebelt and upgraded alternator from Mk4 Golf fitted. Original exhaust is in good condition. Very solid car underneath. Standard Speedline alloys in good condition. Locking wheel nuts & key present.
Engine idles/pulls beautifully with no smoke, bangs, leaks or rattles at all. Took it to Vince @ Stealth Racing in Warwickshire as I've known him for a good few years & have always taken my cars to him at one time or another. This man knows VR6's inside out full stop! 190 Bhp on his rolling road it produced. Very strong engine. 198270 miles but drives better than 120k examples I tried when looking for a good Corrado. No crash damage whatsoever was also a must have for myself when I looked for a Corrado back in 2011/12!! No expense spared at all on this car whatsoever. Car is fitted with a Cobra alarm which works perfectly in conjunction with the central locking.
Bodywork is in good condition for a 20 year old car. Some small bubbles of rust are present on the top of the windscreen. I put this down to when a replacement screen was fitted prior to my purchase.
Everyone tells me to keep it. I've only driven 110 miles in the last year!! That's right 110 miles. Been lucky enough to have dry storage so that's why it's not been exposed to the elements in the last 3 yrs!! Be a shame to see it go but I just don't get the time to enjoy that engine sound as much as I'd like to & I've got a company car. Cash on collection - No p/x, time wasters or dreamers with silly offers please.
