Description
Selling my Mk4 VW Golf GTI - Car has a 150bhp PD TDI engine, not to be confused with the 130bhp GT TDI - this car is the same spec as the regular GTI (uprated springs etc) but obviously runs on diesel rather than petrol.
Car is a 3 door in dark blue.
Tax until end July 2014, MOT due January 2015.
The car has an issue with the turbo which is described elsewhere.
The diesel GTI's were a limited run towards the end of the Mk4 production run and feature the uprated suspension of the petrol version plus other extra's such as 17" alloys and a 6 speed gearbox.
Car has covered 150k miles - mostly on motorways by myself and it's previous owner. Car is solidly built as you'd expect from the Germans but it does have a few squeeks in the cabin from dashboard panels rubbing against one another on bumpy roads. Exclusive to these cars are walnut effect trim pieces to the dashboard, door handles and gearstick.
The car includes the climatronic air conditioning unit (which was last recharged August 2013), and a 6 disc CD interchanger in the dashboard as well as a cassette deck.
Car has been regularly serviced - I don't remember when this was last done but the car has not started it's 2,000 mile countdown on the dashboard of the next one being due! Cambelt was replaced at 110k. In the last 12 months, the car has had new springs on the rear, plus new strut tops, brake discs/pads on the front - and a new tyre was fitted on the front just last week.
