VW Golf Avant Garde Cabriolet with Private Number Plate

I bought the Golf just before Christmas with the intention of the wife & myself using it through the summer for weekends and holidays etc. Unfortunately due to a change of plan & the wife wanting a new kitchen we've reluctantly decided to sell it. It's an 2001 Avant Garde which has the same engine as a Golf GTI, the private number of A6NGK will be included in the sell. With the sun out and the roof down it's a pleasure to drive. Finished in Green met. with tan cloth interior, the roof is cloth with no splits, tears or cracks and is electrically operated. The roof is water tight having been outside over the winter and living on the Somerset levels it never leaked once. It has the usual electric windows, central locking, electric mirrors which all work along with factory options of windbreak & 6 play CD, which sometimes will only play certain CD's which I've never got to the bottom of but are cheaply available on Ebay to replace. Mechanically the car is A1. I'm a trained ex-VW mechanic and have just carried out a service changing all filters. There is a invoice in the car showing it had front brake pads with discs, rear brake pads, rear brake caliper & 2 rear coil springs replaced in Aug 13 less than 3000 miles ago at a cost of £550.00. This I can confirm having been through the car, there is no play in any of the bushes or mountings. I've removed the cover on the cambelt & this looks fairly recent but I have no paperwork to prove this & if I was going to keep the car long term I would probably replace it for peace of mind. All the tyres are good with plenty of tread. The Golf drives extremely well with no rattles or knocks. I used it with roof down and the wind break up on dry days through the winter & with the heater on was not cold at all. The speedo shows 21000 miles having had a speedo replaced at 75000 miles which paperwork I have verifies so has covered about 97000 miles. There is some wear to the drivers seat which has been patched and some flaking laquer on the O/S/R panel but the car is over 12 years old. At some stage the corner of the front bumper has been painted and is noticable in some lights. When I purchased the car it was HPI checked and comes with a sheet to this effect along with various invoices and old M.O.T.s. I'm asking £1350 but the number plate is worth about £450 so it's a lot of fun for little money. I've enjoyed using it with roof down & try to find any excuse to use it.
