For sale is my Golf GTD, I have owned the car since new and bought it direct from VW in April 2014. These Golf GTD's are fantastic cars and I did a lot of research before I bought one, they are the perfect balance of power and economy. I waited 6 months from the time of ordering to delivery due to the demand on them at the time.
The car has been used by me for work, which involves a commute weekly to Leeds Bradford Airport, this is a nice 150 mile round trip which is much better for the engine than lots of stop start trips round town. It has covered 13k miles but this will increase over time as I am still doing the weekly commute.
While the car is at the airport it is cleaned inside and out including a hand wash and wax every week. I am selling the car due to a upcoming job role change which will see me working out of the country for longer periods of time and it seems pointless to have such a nice car sat at the airport for any longer than it is already.
The car is currently on VW finance and I have spoken to them about selling it and they are fine with whoever buys it to just pay the remaining finance off direct to them and the rest to me. As soon as this is done I have the V5 to sign and hand over.
It obviously comes with the 3 years (from April 2014) VW warranty plus it has a service pack which I purchased separately to cover 3 years servicing costs. You can just take it to any VW dealership in the UK and have it serviced for free.
The generous amount of equipment that the car comes with is listed on VW's website, but here is a short list of the main ones the car comes with.
Pure White Paint
Active Cruise Control
Rain Sensing Wipers
Auto Xenon Headlights
Touchscreen DAB Radio
Front and Rear Parking Sensors
£20 a year tax
I am the only one fully insured to drive it and I wouldn't let anyone with third party insurance drive it for obvious reasons. If you pop down to any VW dealership they will be happy to take you for a drive in one. Happy to go for a drive in mine as long as I am driving.
