Description

2003 Golf GTI - VR6 (24 Valve)
This car has been a real treat in my life, but it is time to get something with four doors. It is sleek and completely stock with no engine modifications at all. The only outside modifications were the OZ Rims and the sound systems head unit, which has since been removed/sold and replaced with the original unit. This car is in great shape and has been well maintained over the its life (I will post all significant Carfax pieces below). It is a three owner non-smoker car that has never been involved in an accident with a spotless title. Recently I have taken it to get a thorough inspection and they said it was in great shape for such a rare car as well as couldn't believe that it wasn't modified in any way. That does not mean that this car is perfect, but you will hard pressed to find a VR6 24 valve GTI in better condition for a better price anywhere around here. The exterior is a 7/10 and there are a couple scratches by the rear wheels that you can notice in the pictures. There are also the white specks on the front bumper most likely from the first owners highway driving. No rust on the bottom of the car but next to the drivers door there is a little spot which could easily be fixed and has not spread because over the entire time Ive had the car, which Im looking to have taken car of. Mechanically like I said, its very sound and I just confirmed that with a certified VW dealership. The biggest and most annoying feature or "problem" is that the trunk is like a bad worker and works only when it wants too (roughly 50% of the time). I wont go on a tangent about how much I love the car, but I've grown to really appreciate this car for what it is. It is a sleek rare Golf that has one of my favorite exhaust notes out of any 6 cylinder car ever made. The 24 valve version is harder to find, but when you drive the car you will realize why.
General Carfax history (not all) - Excludes regular maintenance checks and oil changes
128,000 Valve cover gaskets / full inspection completed
121,000 New A/C Compressor and alternator / timing chain
112,304 New Tires (Continental run-flats)
109,000 ignition coils and starter replaced
70,000 clutch system bleed and inspection completed
Overall The Carfax is two and a half pages of regular servicing and inspections. There are obviously more pieces such a as shocks breaks and batteries listed, but I can assure you that the amount of care all of the owners including myself took of this car is reflected in how well the car drives. If you have any questions please feel free to email me and I am working to put up better pictures.
