Description
Hi and welcome to the sale of this amazing Schwartz Black Golf Mk2 GTi 16v.
This is a genuine low mileage car, 98k on the clock, verified by all the old MOT's dating back as far as 1996 (see pic 12) and is in very rare Schwartz Black.
As you can tell from the pictures the car is in amazing condition. Obviously its a 23 year old car but the paint is beautiful! All the usual MK2 rust spots are solid and the plastics are in perfect condition apart from a tiny mark in the front bumper. The BBS Ra's are in great condition and have matching Goodyear tyres all round with plenty of life left in them. Its clearly been garaged and cherished most of its life, the last owner owned it for 3 years and its only had 6 owners in total.
Mechanically its faultless. There is a lot of receipts for work carried out, most importantly the clutch which was less than 6 months ago. The engine is incredibly strong, its pulls hard and no smoke. Gearbox is super slick. No knocks or bangs from the suspension. They are no nasty holes in the airbox. Obviously it has an aftermarket Magnex exhaust, but this is a period correct modification that was carried out on most of these in the 90's and its a full stainless system and they are not cheap, but if the new owner wants can be changed to a standard system quite easily. I drove this car 270 miles and it didn't miss a beat.
The interior is as you would expect of a low mileage car, very minimal wear, little wear on the drivers bolster but this is standard on golfs of this vintage. Sunroof operates smoothly as it should and does not leak. It had 2 new window mechanisms recently. Headliner is in great shape and the interior in general is a nice place to be!
MOT is due in August but I will put a new one on for the new owner at the asking price, Tax till March 2015 and of course HPi clear.
This is an incredibly rare car in this condition with this mileage in this very sort after colour. They do not come along like this very often.
Any inspections are welcome and any questions please don't hesitate to ask!
Part ex are welcome.
Thanks for looking, Shane 07974240566.
