Volkswagen 1976 Mk1 Golf 2 door Swallowtail to suit GTI or Berg Cup Replica VW

This is a 1976 Mk1 VW Golf 2 door coupe 'Swallowtail'. This is the rarest, and most desirable body style available in the Mk1, being both a 2 door and a Swallowtail. Being a 40 y/o car it it is showing signs of age in some areas. The body does have some small areas that require some attention, however they are small, isolated areas that are very easy to repair. The floors, sills, shock towers, bulkhead, and all structural parts of the car are in excellent shape and completely as rust free as the day it left the factory. This is important to find a car with no structural problems if you're planning a restoration.
Engine and Gearbox are good and car drives well. Brakes could do with some attention & general maintenance on the whole car wouldn't go astray. The registration has just expired & this rare Golf is being sold with no registration or plates.
