1985 VW MK1 Golf Cabriolet Auto

Reluctant sale of my pride and joy, but change of job makes change of car a necessity.  I bought this beauty from a Mk 1 enthusiast two years ago.  He had already upgraded some things, replacing the worn original front seats with much newer and more supportive GTI seats.  The last thing he did before I bought it was to replace the hood with a new and beautiful  black mohair hood, together with new guide wires.  It is flawless and completely watertight.In my ownership I have continued the upgrades:·         complete set of brake hoses, discs and pads, master cylinder and calipers·         new battery, leads and plugs·         various hoses, cables and wiring, where worn·         speedo cable·         rocker cover gasket·         centre section exhaust·         refurbished carburettor; new fuel filter·         new water tank·         two new tyres·         oil and filter changeThere is a small amount of rust breaking through on the driver's door, but I have a rust-free replacement in the correct colour that will come with the car.
