Description
Hi,
Here I have for sale my 2005 VW Golf GTI finished in Steel Grey.
Mileage is currently 92,800 but will continue to rise as used daily. Car is MOT'd until October 2016. The car has a comprehensive service history with a large folder of receipts for work carried out and all recalls completed.
Has Continental Contisport 5 tyres on the front, was going to change the rears (budget) when they wore out but still plenty of tread on them.
Car had problems with front wing rust (common problem on Mk5 golfs). Both front wings were replaced and resprayed (including blending) in December 2015 by KJ Rule of St Austell. All work was carried out under VW's corrosion warranty.
Cambelt and water pump was replaced in January 2016 in accordance with VW's service intervals. Car had a new clutch in June 2015.
I had the car remapped by Celtic Tuning in Newquay in October last year (dyno print out available) and it's now running at 240bhp. I had to replace the Diversion valve (Revision G Valve used) and coil packs shortly after as these are known to fail if worn. I also changed the spark plugs at the same time. Car also has a pipercross panel filter. It also has the rare (ish) blue tint on the windows (only used for a couple of years on these GTI's).
My reason for selling is to try and rationalise my spending on fuel. I currently do around 16-18,000 miles a year and am spending around £300-350 a month in petrol (car is always run on V Power Nitro or Momentum 99 super unleaded) and I'd rather be spending that kind of money on other things!! My average MPG (on the trip computer) is 25mpg currently for your info. I absolutely love the car but it just doesn't make good financial sense.
I'll add some pictures of the interior shortly, the car has the GTI fabric seats with the standard CD headunit and armrest CD changer.
Anyhow, viewings welcome, no test drives without proof of insurance. Car is located in West Cornwall so please bear in mind when bidding.
Bidders with feedback less than 10 will be removed if no contact is made first. Deposit of £500 due within 24 hours of auction ending.
Thanks for looking. Any queries please contact me.
