You are looking at a VGC for age VW Golf Mk4 V5 2.3L , Very reliable and used every day.
My wife has been the main user of this car for the last couple of years, but she has now chosen an MPV for extra space for the children and all their "STUFF" !!
I tend to get around an average of 34mpg around town and a bit more if you do more motorways.
We have owned this car for the last two and a half years and looked after it well. With an annual service and anything else it needed. So it has a full service history and was last serviced (full service) in Dec by a local German car specialist. I have a large folder of receipts to show how it has been looked after. It has one scratch on the front wing (see pic), but nothing serious. Really looks good and drives very well and has always been reliable, even in the snow !, and has never broken down. So no smoke , bangs or clunks ! The car still feels really tight and stood out from the others by a mile when we were looking.
The V5 engine is also fitted with a Cam Chain, so not need to worry about when a belt needs changing.
Also has a private plate that I will leave with the car as I think it looks nice.
It has a removable tow bar, that I had fitted a year or so ago for our small garden trailer (tip runs) and has not pulled anything heavy. Tow bar can be taken off with two bolts. It also has some privacy blinds around the rear of the car which are also removable, but great to keep the children cool. Tilt and slide sun roof, climate (fully working) and many other great features.
Good tyres with original 16 " VW Montreal 2 wheels. Passed the MOT in Feb all ok. Very tempted to keep it as it is a great car, but really need a 4x4 now.
If it goes for the Buy It Now price I will also include a set of front Dunlop Winter tyres and some original VW roof bars.
