1973 Kombie
Selling on behalf of my father. Currently registered, but not driven much.A good honest van, that has much to offer. A number of parts have been replaced to get the Kombi registered. Some work done includes:
Rust repairs
Oil service and tuning
Painting
Battery
New front windscreen
New front windscreen seal
New side window seal
Full brake Service
- New master cylinder
- New brake booster
- new front disc rotors
- new front disc pads
- Reconditioned front calipers
CV Joints
Near new tyres
Many, many hours have been spent working on this Kombi. Everything has been done to the best of his ability. Dad resprayed the Kombi. It looks good, but some bubbles and chips are appearing. The paint is presentable as a daily driver or work van. The pop top was resprayed, but the paint is flaking off. 1800cc engine / 4 speed manual. The engine runs and starts well, but compression is low on a couple of cylinders. Currently registered as a 2 seater, being classed as a camper. The pop top needs a new canvas, but is not needed if you don't intent on lifting it up. No rear seat, so it is great as a work van, or just to put surfboards, kayaks, dogs etc. It is currently registered, but will be sold with no rego, and in as is condition. New front windscreen. This Kombi offers a lot to someone who wants a cheap Kombi that can quickly pass roadworthy, to keep as is or restore further while driving it around. Inspections welcomed and recommended.
