23 WINDOW SAMBA!!!
Here is a fantastic opportunity to buy your very own extremely rare 23 Window VW Kombi.
Structurally the frame and chassis are solid. Cargo floors are mostly good and the front floor pans are 85% good. There are areas of minor rust in the usual places ie front passenger dog leg. Overall it's in pretty good condition with only very minor welding needed. Bus comes with newly installed wrap around deluxe trim with black piping still in packaging.
This van started her life in Brazil as an original 15 window and then travelled to sunny California. In California she was registered and driven around as is before having a top class roof conversion done by only the best 'Grumpy's Metal'. They grafted the complete sliding roof in in one go, thus keeping the samba skylight windows exactly straight and inline as would have been factory fitted. The roof mechanism is brand new in box along with the black canvas ready to put on.
Don't be fooled by naysayers the Brazilian model was built with more modern bay window components, giving it a smoother ride whilst keeping the crowd loving splitty look.
Strong 1500 engine. Runs and drives well. Gear box and running gear in reasonable condition.
I have taken the vinyl trim and door cards off to have a good look at what I was dealing with. In the pictures it may look like rust, however this is mainly old glue. Original door cards are included if needed for future templates.
Original splitty seats in the bus. Overall a 9 seater. Reasonable condition black vinyl, just needs a good clean.
All import taxes paid with import approval and paperwork to come with the vehicle. Ready to register.
This is an affordable 23 samba window - Dream kombi. This bus can easily be registered and driven as is without spending too much money, and restored at a later date. This beautiful bus when restored in the current market would be worth at least 3 times the price. Alternatively leaving it as is will also see you gain with the capital growth!
