Description
G'day everyone!
For sale i have my 1962 splity single cab.
I have put alot of time and money into this vehicle, but i am now unable to complete it so it is being sold as an unfinished project. This vehicle is not drivable..yet, but with a bit more time and money it would be an awesome splity!
The color is Steel Grey which i am lead to believe is a rare colour for these vehicles! Included in the sale is the original VW service booklet and VW service card both with all matching numbers for this vehicle, rego number, chasis number and engine number (original engine not in the vehicle, i do not have this unfortunately.) The ute was from a Plumbing company from Ringwood, Melbourne and the original business sign writing can be seen on both front doors.
It has a standard front beam, gear box with RGB's and a 1200cc 6 volt motor not running but turns over freely and is complete. The gear box and RGB's are good as they came out of another bus of mine that was a registered drivable vehicle.
Brand new tyres all round.
It will need a full new wiring loom and also new brake lines.
The whole underneath of the sc has been sandblasted and undercoated in grey, major rust has been removed.
95% of the repair / rebuild work on the vehicle has been done using Klassic Fab funky green specific repair parts (these are the best) about $4000 of these in total has gone into this build so far;
TREASURE CHEST SIDE - jacking points, inner and outer sill, "B" pillar, "C" pillar, new treasure chest floor, inner rear front wheel tub have been replaced
FRONT LOWER NOSE SECTION - Both L/H and R/H lower "A" pillars, front L/H dogleg, full lower nose have been replaced.
Side and rear gates do have lower rust.
Repair parts and panels to complete the R/H side are included in the sale.
Please feel free to email with any questions you may have, and i highly recommed that before you bid / buy to inspect this vehicle so that i can go over everything with you about it!
Pick up only from Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, Earth 3352
Cheers, Shane.
