Hi There
For sale is a 1999 VW T4 Transporter Panel Van. I have owned it for over 1.5 years and only work i had to have done on the vehicle was a new water pump. The van was brought from a landscaper in Avalon. Aside from the below defects the van drives great and can assure you that if the work is completed it would serve you well.
Ok so the Bad bits;
As mentioned above it has no Reverse, 4th or 5th gear. Its perfectly drivable to another location to get sorted but would recommend somewhere close and not anywhere outside of Sydney. The cost of the repair has been estimated to me by a local garage in Freshwater to be between $1500-2500 depending on whether it needs a new clutch or not.
There is a large crack in the windscreen. Its been there forReplacing the windscreen i have been told doesn't cost that much and can be done for free with fully comp insurance.
There are some damaged panels which you can see from the passenger side picture.
The Good bits;
If you choose not to carry out the work, then its value as spares is worth considering. I do not have the time or space to strip the vehicle (I wish i did) for spares which is a shame as the doors alone can go for $500 each!!!
As i said before if you decide to fix it, you ll have a perfectly working van.
Comes with $300 of audio (new CD player with new front and rear speakers professionally fitted by Strathfields in Brookvale)
Its a long base model and seats 5 people comfortably making it a great road trip vehicle. The back bench seat is quick release and can be easily removed. Whether you want to use it for a camping conversion or for work.
Tyres have plenty of tread and has been well looked after.
Inside is clean and the rear completely ply-lined.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Ive been as honest as i can about the vehicle and would get the work done myself but have decided against it as I've had a loan vehicle given to me by my boss.
