Description
2008 Volkswagen Passat 2.0 Turbo, with Tiptronic automatic
transmission.
Very nice car that runs and drives extremely well.
83,000 miles on engine.
Fully loaded with all the creature comforts expected from a German engineered vehicle.
Black leather interior is in beautiful condition, 9 out of 10. The carpet, seats, headliner and dash are all in near excellent condition, also a 9 out of 10.
Rear window and rear side doors have built in sun screens.
Steering wheel has both tilt and telescopic adjustments.
Exterior is very nice as well with very few small dings consistent with the age of the car. There are some spots from tree sap on the sides (pictured).
Tires, brakes, struts and shocks are good, the car rides smoothly and handles very well.
All electrical components work as they were designed, windows, locks, cruise, lights, seats and so forth.
Included are the two working original keys and key fobs. One of the fobs is missing it’s key ring.
The car itself has 153k on it, about 6 months ago, the original engine failed due to a timing belt issue.
The engine was professionally replaced with a documented and warranted 83k correct 2.0 turbo engine. At this time, a complete and thorough service was preformed, all needed hoses and belts were replaced, including the timing belt and water pump on the replacement engine. The cost for the engine replacement and related work was about $3300.00. All receipts and documentation for this work is included with the sale and will be provided to the winning bidder.
I have a number more photographs of the car, if you would like them to be sent to you, let me know. I’ll need a non-eBay email address to send them to as the file is too large to go through eBay’s email system.
Any questions, just shoot me an email.
If you are local (or even if you’re not) and would like to inspect the car prior to auctions end, let me know and we’ll figure something out.
Thanks much.
