STUNNING.simply stunning and rare example of this VW Passat estate B5 V6 Syncro. Let me start by telling you that this car has covered just over 47,000 miles from new. It has got full service history in the original stamped booklet and every MOT to back up the exceptionally low mileage, this car is possibly the lowest mileage example of this model available today.
If you know your cars then you know what these are about and the solid reliability of these Passat's are their strongest selling point. The fact that this car has only covered 47,000 miles and is in unbelievable overall condition makes it a fantastic chance to have what is effectively a new car for not a lot of money.
This is the rare V6, MANUAL GEARBOX, 4wd syncro. Super smooth engine, silky gearbox and effortless clutch action makes for an exciting drive with great capabilities in all conditions. Coupled with cruise control and a powerful motor, long motorway journeys can be soaked up in luxury. With UNMARKED black leather interior, heated front seats and olenty of legroom, these cars are fantastic to cover big distances in comfort.
Starting with the outside, the paintwork is in stunning condition with hardly a mark on it. With VW's original 12year anti corrosion guarantee, these cars are built to last. This one has exceptionally damage free panels for a car made in 1999. There is just the OS front wing that has had a bit of paint at some stage in the cars life but it is silver and one of the hardest colours to match. It is very slightly different but does not detract from the cars appearance, just pointing out what I can see. Other than that it is stunningly clean.
The interior has what I can only describe as unmarked black factory fitted heated leather front seats and fantastic, like new rear seats in super soft leather. The heated seats both work 100% and is lovely on your back and legs as you drive, totally controllable with 5 settings.
Cruise control works perfectly and whilst on the move this car can be driven by just your thumb!! The V6 just pulls strong and effortlessly making this such a fun car to drive. 4 wheel drive adds to the safety and the road holding capabilities, that with just under 200 bhp makes this car a wolf in sheep clothing, listening to the engine accelerate with a V6 growl is music to your ears and leaves many cars just a speck in the mirror, surprises the boy racers easily!!
The huge boot has a load liner and the previous elderly owner has installed a rear dog guard. The dog obviously stayed in the boot area because the rear seats are TOTALLY MARK FREE. The rear boot area is also in superb condition and the dog was obviously well behaved. No nasty smells or chew marks. Just pointing out the fact that they had a dog. This car is ideal for carrying your furry family friends in comfort.
The sound system is great. Factory speakers coupled to an aftermarket remote controlled Alpine head unit makes for a lovely stereo system. A boot loading CD changer is fitted although the cartridge inside is missing. The last owner may still have the part but if not it's probably available on e-bay for pennies.
All tyres have plenty of tread and are matching. A good quality set of tyres adds to the feel of this car and safety. The alloy wheels would benefit from a refurb but only because the paint is a bit flakey. Overall still presentable but this would just be the finishing touch.
The service history is 2nd to none. From new the car was owned by Mondial Assist in Croydon. Probably a top employees company car due to the cost of these new. It was serviced at VW main agent for much of its life with dealer stamps a plenty. If the mileage wasn't covered then the yearly checks was done with oil and fluid changes regardless of mileage. The oil is clean and the engine is superb. On the MOT the emissions hardly registeredno false readings from this old girlVW nowadays should look at how clean these engines are, no dodgy dealings like todays cars!!!
Braking system is strong on all wheels and the MOT tester said that it was very well balanced. The numbers show that this car has a superb braking system and also the handbrake is strong.
The only issue that I must point out is the ABS sometimes comes in if braking very gently and as coming to a halt. A common fault and well documented online. This does not activate any dash lights, does not show up on any diagnostic readings and I had it scanned to check the system fully. All wheel speed sensors are working and showing the road speed spot on. This does not happen in normal driving and only if touching the brake ever so slightly. Just pointing this out but rest assured this car stops on a sixpence and if you know these cars you know this is also a cheap fix if bothered.
How did I get this car and why am I selling it??
My brother is a chiropodist and the last owner of this car is one of his clients. Unfortunately due to ill health the gentleman had his licence revoked on medical grounds. He has loved this car and only drove it on rare occasions up north to see family. Other than that it was just a 2nd car that was pampered and well cared for. It was last serviced about 20 miles before it was laid up on his driveway because he lost his licence to drive. It is a sad reality that he parted with this car only because he was upset looking at it sat doing nothing. His condition will not change, his driving days are over.
My brother told me about the car and I went and viewed it. It was obviously something a bit special and on that I bought the car not knowing just how fantastic it would prove to be.
The MOT had run out so I bought it hoping that just by the history and the look of the car it would pass. PASSit sailed through with not one advisory needed.

The car is registered to me because having driven it and realised just how brilliant it is I decided to keep it for myself as a bit of luxury. I also have a Mitsubishi Delica 4x4 which i've owned for over 5 years, LOVE IT but after driving the Passat I was sold on the comfort and solid feel of the car.and the heated seats are amazeing in the cold weather, my bad back LOVES it.
So WHY am I selling it ??
Not only am I selling the Passat i'm also selling my much loved Delica!!!.shock horror. The reason. TOYOTA LAND CRUISER. Oh yesssss. I've always wanted one but they NEVER come up at the right price, mileage or condition. Well a couple of weeks one did.
Low mileage, immaculate and at a great priceit had to be mine and I bought it.
So, I now have all the luxury of the Passat including heated leather seats, amazing 4x4 ability with unmatchable Toyota reliability and a car that will last me forever..ALL IN ONE.
There you have it. I never expected to sell my Delica. The Passat was going to be our weekend toywe was sorted. Then along comes the Toyota.
