No knocks or bangs
Bad points usual arch rust,back door fault.faulty temp gauge rises up to 120 under load stays at 90 driving below 50mph.I will be supplying a brand new gates cambelt kit and updated water pump, Lucas coolant temp sensor, and thermostat witch will sort the problem out. There are no head gasket issues. These are quite simply common faults.
The car drives excellent and is returning 50mpg no problem
Bearing in mind this is a £2000+ car all parts supplier to fix
